Thumbnail cache ID

The 64-bit identifier that keys each thumbcache entry and matches System_ThumbnailCacheId in the Windows Search index.

The thumbnail cache ID is the 64-bit value that identifies an entry in the Windows thumbcache. It is stored in each entry header and usually repeated as a 16-digit hexadecimal identifier string. Windows Search records the same value in the System_ThumbnailCacheId property of the indexed file, so the search database (Windows.edb, or Windows.db on Windows 11) can map a cached thumbnail back to the path of the file it was generated from.
